The Necklace: An Opera

In a short one-act opera encapsulating the tensions and challenges of humanities and sciences coexisting in a university setting, a lecturer in english, overwhelmingly infatuated with a professor of genetics, both debate the essence and relevance of their disciplines, which becomes a metaphor for their star-crossed relationship, as parodied by a retelling of the Tristan and Isolde love story.
