Our mission at the Office of Medical Student Affairs is to provide comprehensive, integrated and efficient support services to medical students through partnerships throughout the School of Medicine. We are an effective and responsive team of professionals and student advocates who work collaboratively to ensure our students’ personal and academic success.

  • Provides support for the Associate Dean, Office of Medical Student Affairs (OMSA) and her staff
  • Assists with implementation of Stanford Medicine's big three events (Match Day, Commencement, and Orientation)
  • Supports the 1st Generation Mentorship Program and Social Rounds, and coordinates the Bagel Wednesdays program

Hobbies: Typography, my dog, science fiction, discovering deer-resistant plants and flowers (such as the humble tansy), and the practice, discussion, and (mostly) esophageal transit of the culinary arts

  • As the senior associate dean for medical education, oversees medical student training activities for the School of Medicine; also oversees GME and CME administrative activities.
  • Heads the academic advising group and serves as an academic advisor, particularly for career development and preparation for applying to residency
  • Involved in medical education and curriculum development

Martha (Marti) C. Trujillo, MPA
Director of Financial Aid

  • Responsible for oversight of institutional and federal student aid programs for students pursuing the MD degree including; need-based institutional grant forecast, establishing and monitoring student eligibility, programmatic policy recommendations, and distribution of student aid funds
  • Provides school-wide support for systems and issues involving student payment

  • Counsels students on debt management including  loan repayment options and strategies

Hobbies: Reading, cooking, wine/beer tasting, classic movies, road trips, exploration of the beautiful countryside, and (future) retirement including a boat and a lakeside house
