Presence 5 for Racial Justice

P5RJ Research Activities

Virtual national community advisory board of patients and clinicians from our partner clinics

Interviews with Black patients about experiences with racism in medicine and preferences for clinician trust-building

Interviews with analogous professionals to identify transdisciplinary anti-racism practices

P5RJ Projects

The P5RJ Medical Education Workshop adapts the Presence 5 framework and associated Presence Circles to develop a discussion-based curriculum to foster anti-racist dialogue among medical trainees, teach strategies to reflect on personal biases and historical racism, encourage trainee advocacy for Black patients, and promote racial justice through the next generation of clinicians.
