Introducing: The Process Excellence Smartsheet Idea Tracking System
We often hear from clients that while there's no shortage of improvement ideas flowing from their team, they lack a good way to capture, prioritize, and track implementation of all those bright ideas. We created a simple system in Smartsheet that does just that.
Teams across SoM including Pathology, Lane Library, Department of Medicine and Faculty Compensation have adopted the system and are using it to capture and manage their ideas.
How does it work? All team members have access to a simple web form they use to submit ideas. A spreadsheet holds all the submissions and includes additional columns used to manage the idea through prioritization and implementation. Automation sends reminders to idea submitters and team managers throughout the process, and a dashboard lets the team easily track progress over time.
