Our Mission:

Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional AV support to all who utilize our supported spaces. We believe that technology should enhance your collaboration and learning experience, and we're here to assist with this, while supporting over 450 video conference rooms, and designated instructional spaces, along with over 8,000 pieces of audio-video technologies. Our mission is to provide reliable, high-quality AV services that help you achieve your goals. We strive to ensure that your AV experience is seamless and stress-free, so you can focus on what's important.

What We Do:

Our team provides a wide range of AV services such as; setting up and operating AV equipment in classrooms, meeting rooms, and other spaces, troubleshooting technical issues with AV equipment, providing training and support to help you get the most out of your AV equipment, digital signage solutions, and managing and maintaining a library of system and technical documents.

We believe in taking a proactive approach to AV support. That means anticipating your needs and providing solutions in advance. We're always looking for ways to improve your AV experience, whether that's through new technology, better training, or more streamlined processes.

Ian Parker

Director

Ian has more than 20 years of international networking and telecommunications experience building and managing technical processes and project management. As Director, Ian leads digital collaboration, education, and communication across enterprise.

Robert Del Visco

Manager

Robert joined Stanford Medicine in 2011 and became Manager in 2020.  He leads the AV team, which supports Stanford School of Medicine, and off site locations.

Justin Price

Communication Technologies Engineer

Since 2012, Justin has been a member of Stanford School of Medicine, where he is responsible for various video conference setups, including white glove event support for executive meetings, AV/IT troubleshooting, and classroom/ boardroom AV training. He is the systems administrator for digital signage, overseeing and optimizing the digital signage infrastructure that spans Stanford University School of Medicine campus, as well as its satellite locations. Justin also assist Stanford Hospital & Clinics digital signage infrastructure, spanning the Bay Area.

Zachary McPherson

Sr. Communication Technologies Engineer

Zachary has experience with audio and live sound and holds a B.S. in Digital Audio Technology from Cogswell Polytechnical College and B.A. in Communications from Arizona State University. Zachary fully supports a variety of advanced technology applications for the Center for Immersive and Simulation Based Learning. He also provides day to day support for rooms and spaces within the School of Medicine.

Minmin Qin

Communication Technologies Engineer

Minmin has 20+ years of classroom technologies experience at Stanford Medicine, providing classroom computing, application solutions, lecture capture systems, and Audio/Visual service operations & support. Minmin holds an MS in Library and Information Science from the University of Maryland at College Park. She is also a Apple and Microsoft Certified Professional.  

Art Bascos

Communication Technologies Engineer

For over 15 years, Art has provided support our AV technology, including computers, audio and visual equipment, lecture capture, and video conferencing in our learning and meeting spaces, and the Dean's office. He also provides training for staff and our student workers.

Victor Vargas

 Communication Technologies Engineer

Victor provides immediate response, evaluation, and assistance for a wide range of hardware & peripheral configurations, software solutions, and network infrastructure.

Calvin Gee

System Administrator III

Calvin supports the lecture capture, and the Immersive Learning Center  infrastructure with day to day and long term projects. Prior to joining Stanford University, he worked in various capacities in the private sector such as storage, data center operations, and system administration.

Sergio Cuba

Communication Technologies Engineer

Sergio provides immediate response, evaluation, and assistance for a wide range of hardware & peripheral configurations, software solutions, and network infrastructure.

Stephanie Caldow

 Communication Technologies Engineer

Stephanie is an experienced audio engineer, with a background in both music and the corporate AV world. She studied Audio Engineering at New College Lanarkshire in Scotland, and spent 3 years as a part time music teacher. Here at Stanford she now handles any AV needs for the conference rooms and Grand Rounds space at the Center for Academic Medicine.
