Support Stanford research into the causes of Atypical Parkinsonism

Effective ways to diagnose and treat Atypical Parkinsonism —or at least delay its onset or progression—are needed desperately. Moreover, finding ways to improve patients' quality of life at every stage is also a priority. A gift to the CurePSP Center will support the work of Dr. Montaser Kouhsari to expand her research in cognitive impairment to Atypical Parkinsonism, aiming to identify a cognitive biomarker to improve diagnostic accuracy, predict clinical symptoms, or identify the underlying pathology. The underlying pathology of atypical Parkinsonism is vast; therefore, such a biomarker is critical to the success of future specific clinical trials, which are essential to developing potential therapies and a cure for Atypical Parkinsonism. If you’d like to make a donation for this purpose, choose from the following two options.

PSP, CBD, and MSA - Best Local Resources

Bay Area PSP, CBD, and MSA Caregiver Support Group has caregiver-only support group meetings on a Sunday evening, from 5-7pm, usually the 2nd Sunday of each month, alternating between a San Francisco Bay Area restaurant in San Mateo, CA and virtual meetings for those in Northern and Central California.  An email list for updates on PSP, CBD, and MSA research and resources for coping with these disorders.  Plus, Brain Support Network helps PSP, CBD, and MSA group members donate a loved one's brain for research.  Contact group leader Robin Riddle by phone 650-814-0848 or email to be added to the email list or for meeting schedule.
